a computer virus is a small hidden program on a floppy disk or a hard disk . Just like a biological virus a computer virus can spread from computer to computer through any infected floppy disk or over a computer network and infect to there computer. viruses can cause different types of damages to computer programs files and computer hardware itself.
How do viruses spread ?
You can get a virus only by downloading or receiving a file which is infected that you run on your computer. the different way in which this can happen are mentioned bellow.
If you get an email with a file attached to it ( an executable program such as exe or .com ) that contain a virus and you download that file and run it your computer will become infected .
If you download a file from the internet that contains a virus and you run it. your computer will become infected .
Virus also transmitted by computer networks and by infected disks . Do not use some one else floppy without first cheeking it for virus.
If you boot a computer with and infected floppy your computer will be infected .
